Patrons Offered Hard-Hat Tour, Titles Game

Cincinnati Shakespeare CompanyAs its new Otto M. Budig Theater moves closer to completion, the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company in Ohio is opening its next construction Milestone Event, the February 1 hard-hat tour of the construction site, to all its patrons, subscribers, and followers.

For a donation of $15, the event includes both the tour and a Guess the Titles Game, giving participants the opportunity to be among the first to know the titles of the shows for Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Debut Season at the Otto M. Budig Theater. A cocktail party is also part of the festivities.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Messer Construction Field Office at the 12th Street door just behind the new construction. During the hard-hat tour, at each stop a clue will be provided for one of the shows in the 2017–2018 season. Those who guess the titles and the order of the plays could win two tickets to an invitation-only preview of the first show in the new theater. Other door prizes also will be awarded.

The cocktail party, during which the season will be announced, will commence around 7:15 pm.

This is a tour of an active construction site. Closed-toe shoes and long pants must be worn by all attendees. Hard hats will be provided upon arrival. The tour route will take attendees up and down multiple levels of stairs, which can be difficult to climb. The facility, in its current state, is not fully accessible, and no elevators are in operation. Those with mobility restrictions and sensitivity to dust and temperature changes may wish to attend the Debut Season Presentation and Cocktail Party only.
